It’s time again for the Crown Council’s Smiles for Life campaign.  From March through June, local Crown Council dentists, Mai-Ly Ramirez, DDS and Dan Gustavson, DDS of Fountains Dental Excellence at Fountains at Roseville, are offering teeth whitening services at a significantly reduced price of $299, and will donate 100 percent of the proceeds to help children facing serious health and educational problems in communities throughout North America.

Monthly Open House – April 13 – You’re Invited!

We’d love to get to know you!  Our monthly Open House is the second Tuesday of every month (April 13th) from 6:30 – 8:00.  If you’d like to know more about our program, tour the facility and meet some of our families, please email or call for directions.  We also will schedule an Open House exclusively for your small group, organization or business.  Email info@acresofhopeonline.org to request more information.

Volunteers Make it Happen!

At Acres of Hope, we have incredible volunteers that pour themselves into the program with their time and energy.  Tom and Joyce Gottdiner are two of those incredible volunteers.  As a team, they come to Acres once a month and open the “Powerbucks Store” for our children.  All kids are awarded “Powerbucks” for exemplary behavior and once a month they go shopping in the “store” for whatever they want. Tom and Joyce maintain the merchandise, are the clerks, cashiers and lovers of all children.  Their influence on the children is life-lasting with great benefits of lots of hugs and smiles.

We have Volunteer Opportunities in varying forms and would love to have you join our team!  Listed below are some of our more immediate needs:

• Childcare onsite Tuesday and Thursdays evenings while moms are in classes
• Childcare early Thursday, May 6th while moms attend the National Day of Prayer Breakfast
• On Call child care
• Mentors…godly women who will invest in the life of one family (training and screening mandatory)
• Minor construction/carpenter projects
• Minor welding project
• Social media
• ReNew store volunteers (cashier, stocking, displays, tagging)
• ReNew Boutique monthly landscape upkeep

Hearts and Hands for Acres!

Acres of Hope is so pleased to be one of the recipients of the baby shower held on March 18 by Hearts and Hands…a ministry of Pleasant Grove Community Church in Roseville.  Two staff and a current resident attended a breakfast and shared the program components and miracles happening at Acres of Hope.  Acres is so appreciative to have Pleasant Grove CC as a partner in ministry!  If you are a church organization (or any other organization) and would like information about partnering with Acres of Hope, please email our development director, Tiffany Grimes, at tiffany@acresofhopeonline.org

Acres of Hope is a spiritually based renewal center serving at-risk women with children by providing them with a home and an environment of structured programming. Located in the beautiful Sierra Foothills, Acres of Hope’s unique approach allows residents to live onsite for up to two years while staff and volunteers invest heavily in their lives by providing encouragement, practical life-skills training, job skills, mentoring and spiritual direction.
